| I. GENERAL TERMS
Article I.1.
Name of the Society
The International Society of Skin Pharmacology and Physiology -
abbreviation ISSPP - was founded on 8th December 2003 for an unlimited
time as an association in accordance with Swiss Law ZGB Art. 60ff.
The ISSPP has its Registered Office in Basel, Switzerland.
Article I.2.
Neutrality
The ISSPP is a neutral association and is politically and confessionally
independent.
Article I.3.
Objectives
The Society should act in the international scientific community
motivated by national activities.
The objectives of the society are to promote progress in the field
of cutaneous physiology and pharmacology. To this end the ISSPP
shall:
- Bring together the existing activities and knowledge in the
fields of experimental dermatology, skin physiology, pharmacology
and their respective methods.
- Define future perspectives of interdisciplinary research in
the field of skin pharmacology and skin physiology.
- Develop conceptions for their realization and stimulate international
interdisciplinary co-operation.
- Support young talented scientists through public and industrial
funds in order to foster their research activities over a defined
period of time in leading research centers worldwide.
- Inform the members of the society about current progress in
skin physiology and skin pharmacology by means of annual meetings,
by way of the journal and with the homepage of the society.
- Provide a platform for the members of the society for presentation
and discussion of results, hypotheses and views.
- Bridge research with legislative authorities in skin pharmacology
and skin physiology.
- Interact with international organizations (e.g. NIH, WHO, European
Union, etc.).
The Journal of Applied Skin Pharmacology and Skin Physiology shall
be the official journal of the ISSPP. The journal will be available
online for all members of the Society.
Article I.4.
Procedures and Appliances
The executive board decides on procedures and allocation of appliances.
II. MEMBERSHIP
Article II.1.
Membership
The membership of the society is open to individuals from all over
the world.
The Board of the Society shall determine the annual membership fee.
Article II.2.
Admission
Every person who is interested in the activities of the Society
may become a member after payment of the annual membership fee.
Article II.3.
Termination of membership
The membership may be terminated at any time. The annual membership
fee for the current year shall not be refunded.
Membership shall automatically be terminated, if a member does not
pay his/her annual membership fee within 6 months after the reminder
has been issued.
llI. ORGANIZATION
Article III.1.
Organs of the Society
The organs of the Society are the meetings of the society members,
executive board of the Society and the auditors.
Article III.2.
Meetings of the society members
Meetings of the society members shall take place at least every
three years at the occasion of one of the congresses regularly taking
place. The meetings will be organized as satellite meetings.
Society members are authorized to make decisions at their meetings,
if the required minimum number of Board members is present.
The agenda of the meetings of the Society members will be sent to
every member together with the invitation.
The following decisions will be undertaken by the meeting of the
Society members
- Election of the Board members.
- Confirmation of the annual financial and activity report.
- Election of the auditors.
- Audit of the Bylaws.
- Decisions concerning the termination of the Society.
Article III.3.
Decisions
Decisions will be taken at the meetings of Society members by means
of a simple majority.
Article III.4.
The Board
As a minimum, the Board will consist of the President, the Secretary
and the Treasurer.
IV. FINANCES
Finances
The income of the Society consists of:
- The annual membership fees
- Incomes from conferences and workshops
- Unsolicited donations
The acquirements of the Society adhere to the account payable.
Members of the Society are not personally liable.
V. TERMINATION OF THE SOCIETY
The termination of the Society takes place if the majority of members
vote accordingly.
